Welcome to MATM12 Analytic Functions, 15 credits

 General Information

MATM12 Analytic Functions is an optional course for a Master of Science degree in mathematics. It covers basic theory for analytic functions, Cauchy’s integral theorem and power series expansion, the argument principle, calculus of residues, Möbius mappings, normal families, the Riemann mapping theorem, Poisson integrals and harmonic functions, Laurent series expansion and factorisation.

The teaching consists of lectures and seminars. Compulsory hand-in exercises may be given.

The module is assessed through a written and an oral examination.
